Ligia Barrozo is Associate Professor (A3) at the Department of Geography, FFLCH, University of São Paulo, Coordinator of the Study Group "Urban Space and Health" at the Institute of Advanced Studies (USP) and Visiting Researcher at the Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein. Her areas of interest include geocartography, environmental planning and medical/health geography.

Roberta Kronka Mülfarth is a full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (USP) since 2006; Head of Technology Department and the Deputy Head of USP CIDADES. Her areas of interest include Architecture and Urbanism Technology, and its sub-area of Environmental Comfort, particularly ergonomics, walkability, environmental impact and well-being. She has been a special collaborator at AUCANI – USP International Office, since 2012, mainly with the UGPN – University Global Partnership Network and WC2 World Cities World Class University Network.

Miguel Rodríguez Lopez is the Principal Investigator of the COVIDGI Project (https://www.covidgi.uni-hamburg.de/). His areas of research encompass computing social science and quantitative methods. His university background is in economics and political science at different universities in Argentina, Great Britain (Essex) and Germany (Hamburg). He is currently researching climate change and Covid-19.

Júlio Celso Vargas is a full Professor at UFRGS - Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - member of the Academic Steering Committee of the School of Architecture and Head of the Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning (PROPUR). Member of the "Urban Health, Environment and Inequalities" Research Group, spatial analysis specialist and PhD in Transportation Engineering, his work focuses on urban mobility and its impacts on health, economy and society.

Jürgen Scheffran is professor at the Institute of Geography of Universität Hamburg and head of the Research Group Climate Change and Security (CLISEC) in the Excellence Initiative “Integrated Climate Systems Analysis and Prediction” (CliSAP) at KlimaCampus Hamburg. He is Associate Member of the Center for Science and Peace Research (ZNF) and Faculty Affiliate of the Program in Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security (ACDIS) at the University of Illinois.

Simron Singh is professor at the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo. He conducts socio-metabolic research on small islands. His research aims to inform science and policy on ways small islands can achieve resource and energy security, meet social and economic goals while building resilient infrastructure to endure climate change.

Leonard Borchert is a research associate at the Center for Earth System Research and Sustainability at the University of Hamburg. His research aims to understand the interactions of the physical climate with society by studying climate model predictions and extreme events. His previous research projects were located at the LMD Laboratory of Institut Pierre Simon Laplace (IPSL) at Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris and at LOCEAN-IPSL at Sorbonne University in Paris.
