Programme & Information
We are very happy to share the programme for our Workshop in Hamburg from 06.-10. of June below:
On Monday, June 6, between 13:30 and 15:00 we will welcome you in an informal get-together at the University of Hamburg (in the Eimsbüttel neighborhood). On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will go into the details of the COVIDGI project, presenting and discussing the different work packages (WP): WP1 – Vulnerability framework, WP2 – Toolbox prototype, WP3 – Agent-based model. On Wednesday and Thursday, we are looking forward to engaging with you during the sessions of participant input, science dissemination, and planning further collaborations. Also on Wednesday, we invite you to a dinner, as an evening program. The official program ends at 15:00 each day. We can use the afternoon for further informal discussions outside or inside the university. Snacks and drinks are available at the conference room. On Friday, we will switch to another location to combine the conclusion of the workshop with a social activity in Hamburg.
One special focus of the workshop will be a new iteration in the co-creation of the toolbox prototype (which will take place in the session WP2 – Toolbox). This toolbox aims to support decision-making on the COVID-19 response providing a risk assessment online tool and bringing together different data types. We look forward to integrating your expertise in the development of this tool while also considering its potential to contribute to open science and promote open data and volunteered information. In the science dissemination session, we will deal with opportunities to disseminate scientific results to stakeholders, communities, and society. We are also eager for learning about your work and expertise during the participant input sessions. In these sessions, we ask you to present a summary of your work, especially that which relates to COVID-19, vulnerability, open data, open science, and volunteered information. You are free to choose the focus of this presentation: it can include reporting your experiences, sharing questions and research problems, or discussing future developments and opportunities. We kindly ask you to share with us the topic of your input in a short presentation (10 minutes) in the next weeks.
If you have any thoughts or further questions, please let us know. In due time we will send you more information and the directions for the workshop venue. Be sure to stay tuned here on our website, where we will publish updates on the program and useful tips for enjoying the most of Hamburg.
